Synopsis
Barro rojo is a story of a homosexual man who is locked up in a concentration camp and, later on, in a prison for being gay. It is the time of Hitler in Europe and Franco in Spain, which were so akin to each other. The narrator is the man's nephew, who at times becomes the leading character. A story within a story. There is drama, laughter, a cabaret and tears, but, above all else, there is a need to review a cruel and painful past, so we remember that thanks to its victims, we can enjoy all of our rights and freedoms today.
