Doma

A piece that addresses domestication as an act of rebellion, a pulse between the cultural rites of tradition and the hybrid forms of contemporary dance. Straddling flamenco, Spanish dance and contemporary creation, it explores the concepts of cruelty, abuse of power and violence justified in the name of honor, customs or beliefs. It is an act of choreographic resistance, inspired by the practices of dissidence and unwritten pacts, with the conviction that subverting the norm is the only way to salvation.
